Ingredients

  • 45 ml (1.5 oz.) white wine
  • 22.5 ml (0.75 oz.) honey wine
  • 15 ml (0.5 oz.) Monsieur Cocktail orange syrup
  • 1 dash Monsieur Cocktail grapefruit syrup
  • 4 cubes of honeydew
  • 45 ml (1.5 oz.) sparkling water
  • 1 leaf of fresh basil (for garnish)

Preparation

  1. In a glass, mash the honeydew melon with the white wine.
  2. Fill the glass with ice and add the remaining ingredients, except the sparkling water.
  3. Mix with a cocktail spoon.
  4. Top with sparkling water and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
This iconic drink from Spain is mostly known under its red version (sangria comes from the Spanish word sangre, meaning blood) and is usually made with wines from the Rioja region. Meet her little sister Sangria Blanca, more delicate and refreshing. This recipe, created by Patrick Beaulieu, features honey wine.
